.
I was born in 1980, i'm a french filmmaker, musician and photographer based in Paris. I first studied Maths and Physics, and I have a Master 2 in Political sciences and sociology at the Dauphine University of Paris, i learned to make movies by myself, I've produced and shot 5 movies:
- "Hallucinogen Honey Hunters" (2010) about a Nepali tribe of honey hunters who harvest psychoactive honey (mad honey) this movie was remade by National Geographic, who used some of my footage, Vice, and many others.
- "Cobra Gypsies" (2015) about the gypsies of Rajasthan, broadcasted on Discovery Channel Asia in 2020.
- "Borneo Death Blow" (2018), about the blowpipe hunters of Borneo, the Penan tribe. In 2020 on Discovery Channel Asia, and Arte Tv.
- "Mystery Mind Maps" (2019) a street art investigation in Bangkok.
- "Thai sea Gypsies" (2020) 15 min movie about the Koh Lanta sea gypsies.
I compose and produce the soundtrack of my movies:
"Cobra Gypsies Original Motion Picture Soundtrack", has first been distributed by Universal Music USA (Mi5 Recordings), the single "Noizy Birdz" has reached 4 million hits on spotify. The traditional Rajasthani music on Cobra Gypsies is owned by Roots of Pushkar Records.
My second album is called "Seven" (2018), it was produced while traveling in Asia.
I also released the "Borneo Death Blow" and "Mystery Mind Maps" Orginal Soundtracks.
My movies are mostly about the culture of isolated tribes, particularly about their relationship with wild animals (cobras, bees), their way to survive in a challenging land and adapt to modernity.
Cobra gypsies is the sequel of my first videoclip "Night Ghat" where i meet the Indian gypsies ("Kalbelyias") and learn how to play the indian castanets "kartals". (the remix i made is called "Ek Number")
My music is made with different instruments I collect while traveling, I like to play with antiquities or tribal instruments. I also like to use samples and machines, some of my tracks are influenced by 90's trip hop and electronic music.
I produce experimental music, my first try was to translate the Fibonacci sequence in a melody, "Fiboncacci Song" (on my youtube channel). A concept that was remade by Numberphile, (the biggest maths channel on youtube) after i sent them the idea.
I am currently working on a picture book and a new documentary.
